I am entranced by the delicate layers of colored wash happening here. When the color goes on initially, it is much more vibrant and opaque than in its dried state. So it's a balancing act of knowing the ratio of color/medium/water needed to achieve a certain result, but truth is, I love to let it just take me and surprise me. The painting becomes an entity that I converse with, action and reaction, we walk in step together until the end.
